VCD-
Video Compact Disk , a format of Video compression that plays on many DVD
players . It can be burned to any standard compact disk 740mb to 800mb . After
creating many beer coasters trying to burn VCD's , I finally came up with
an almost full-proof way of burning them. Note - not all DVD players will
play VCD's .
The easiest way to get movies onto VCD format is to download them
in VCD format . Generally Mpeg 1's in 352x288 . Although it's not always
practical to download in this format , it saves the most time if you can
find them .
If you don't have them in this format , it's possible to convert
them . My favorite tool is
TMPGEnc . Keep in mind it doesn't convert every codec , and the
farther out of spec the video you are converting is , the longer it'll
take . I've got a speedy machine , and conversions can take a few hours ,
with the cpu seemingly locked up.
After installing/unzipping TMPGEnc ,you'll see a screen similar
to this
hit the Video NTSC then pick a video
I skip the #3 ,
this screen will show you whether or not it fits on a cd .
Let it decode . Next NERO IT |
